The first victory of Dansa Fusion give encouragement to choreographer.

Zapin Tingkah Terindah Perkampungan Zafana 2016 organized by Pezapin Johor is the first competition participated by the Dansa Fusion group. The dancers involved at that time were the first batch of Dansa Fusion consisting of Fatin NurBalqis, KweenKeela, IlySyahirah, Pika Saree, Syafizi Aizuddin, Nabil Zoul, SaifulWazien and Izzie Islam. I still remember the moments the dancers were getting ready and on the way to the venue, it was full of throbbing. Because this is my first choreography for this group that will be brought to compete with groups that were then quite well known and professional such as Sanggar Budaya Sri Pengkalan.

It was even more exciting when my own teacher or mentor, Kerol Mohtar, also participated in this dance competition with his group Nyala Dance Theater. At that time, only God knew how nervous we were.

The events that took place during this competition really opened my eyes and heart to continue to work and further develop the Dansa Fusion group to the next more challenging level. We won the runner -up for this competition and the Nyala Dance Theater group managed to get the first place while Sanggar Budaya Sri Pengkalan was in third place. A difficult achievement for me to anticipate as this is my debut work tracing my involvement into the competition arena. It was a pretty historic and meaningful experience for myself and this group as well.
